Book reviews — April 2018

'From Ice Age to Wetlands — the Lea Valley’s Return to Nature', by Jim Lewis
ISBN: 9780995483408. Paperback. £16.00. SPECIAL GLIAS OFFER — use the code GL15 when ordering online from www.libripublishing.co.uk and receive a 15% discount
The book is about 140 pages long, A4 size. The printing and illustrations are beautifully done and this is a book for a popular, general readership covering a very wide range of subject matter.

It is not specifically about industrial archaeology but would enable GLIAS members to catch up with the remarkable changes taking place in the Lea Valley — fast becoming an attractive area for the general public to visit and of course some of the attractions are industrial archaeological. At the end of each section or chapter of the book there are references for further reading. An index would have been useful but if a Kindle edition is produced that should be machine searchable.
