UNDER OARS, By Harry Harris

He outlines in detail the method and art of rowing a loaded lighter with a pair of 30ft. oars from Nine Elms down to the R.A. Dock. He concludes by describing the leisure, laughter and hardship that surrounded a life on the Thames. Illustrations by Albert Rolles, also a lighterman.
